For the second year running, India topped a survey of Japanese manufacturing enterprises on attractive nations or areas for commercial development, while China dropped to third place, trailing Vietnam.
534 enterprises in industries like electronics, chemicals, and cars responded to the study, whose results were released by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation on Thursday.
India topped the list of countries having the highest potential for development in the medium term (multiple answers permitted) with 48.6% of the votes, the most popular response being the potential for growth in the local market.
